So. That was something. This morning at my construction site:
- Our site manager
- The leader of the current installation team
- My salesman / field representative
- A planner of the construction company
- The floor slab builder
- My wife (a little later)
When I arrived the site manager (drenched in sweat with anger), the head of the installation crew and the floor slab builder were already in the garage - where we have the problems. After that we were still waiting for the salesman and the planner.
And what went down then… In retrospect, I also learned about insults that came there before I was there.
You know what the good thing about the whole story is? Everyone present today got to see our floor slab builder in action. Everyone was insulted and treated like crap. So like me the last few weeks.
I was at a loss for words anyway. I can’t and don’t want to talk to him anymore.
A final result of what we are doing now to remedy the defects is still pending, as must first be measured again. But that’s not what I’m concerned with right now. Somehow that was then quite good, how that went. And as I have noticed, my manufacturer of the house now wants to separate from the floor slab builder. Unfortunately after that was done with me, but good for subsequent customers.
I am still pretty upset and freezing. I was again just under 3 hours on site. It was terrible as expected. But at least the site manager is great and the current head of the construction crew is even better. They’ll find good solutions for us and I believe them. And at some point I won’t have to deal with that other outrageous person anymore.
