I have been a member of ADAC for several years, but I have never needed the yellow angels. Saturday was the day. So I called the number on my card and several times I couldn’t get through. On the announcement I was recommended another number, which did not work. Somewhat frustrated, I downloaded the roadside assistance app. There I entered my ADAC and vehicle data and reported the problem. I was kept up to date via push messages. About 2 hours later, I received a message that the driver would be with me soon. He then called me on my cell phone 5 minutes before arrival.
At the vehicle then I met a very nice, somewhat older gentleman who could help very quickly and totally uncomplicated. In a few minutes, the problem was solved.
In summary: Great employee, great app. Extremely poor availability by phone.
In this sense, it’s worth investing the few euros per year.
