1917 (2019) Review

The film is damn well made. It really captivates you. It looks good, sounds good and the two main actors harmonize perfectly. But something is still not right. Because even though you’re so close to the action, I always had the feeling that I was missing something. But I couldn’t really grasp that. It seemed to me that there were gaps in the context, even though everything was filmed in one go. But that’s not really bad, because we were presented with a very emotional war film. I had so much fun watching it, as you can have with a war film.
