In August 2015 my wife and I were in Bali. Besides pure relaxation we had contacted a guide in advance who showed us some special corners of the island. So we were allowed to climb a volcano, saw a beautiful waterfall, ate our way through a great little market and visited a coffee plantation.
I was especially impressed by the Kopi Luwak coffee there. A delicious drink, not too bitter, but with an excellent aroma.
The Fleckenmusang (civet), which is responsible for the choice of the best beans for this coffee, could be admired on site. I personally did not mind in the slightest how exactly this coffee is made. Some people say: Yuck.
The plantation was beautifully situated.
We tasted other types of coffee and tea too. Some of the coffees were really great, some took some getting used to. But all in all it was a great experience, a first-class excursion and one of the most unforgettable holidays I have ever taken.
